Community Grants--Oregon City Metro Enhancement Grant

Applications for the 2010-11 Metro Enhancement grant program are now available. The program supports enhancement projects within the Oregon City boundaries. The total amount available for grant proposals is $100,000, with $25,000 being a maximum award. Applications are due May 5, 2010 by 3:00 p.m. Proposals may be mailed or delivered to City Hall, 625 Center Street. The nine members of the OC-METRO Enhancement Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the Pioneer Community Center, 615 5th Street, to review the applications and award grant funding.

The enhancement program is part of an intergovernmental agreement between Oregon City and METRO and is generated by a $.50 per ton surcharge collected at the Transfer Station. The surcharge is intended to offset any negative impacts from METRO’s solid waste transfer facility.

For applicant information letter and grant application, visit the City website at www.orcity.org under Community Grants or contact Michele Beneville at 503-496-1542.
