SUMMER READING IS IN FULL SWING - BUT THERE'S STILL TIME TO JOIN THE WAVE!

Come join us for Summer Reading activities, including our programs held at the Pioneer Center every Wednesday at 11:30am.  Each week we have a great performance from a local musician, storyteller, or puppeteer.  For more information, contact the Children's Desk at 503-657-1026.

LIBRARY2GO EXPANDS ITS OFFERINGS

Since March 2010 Library2Go has added thousands of e-Book titles that are available for library patron use! Library2Go can be accessed at http://library2go.lib.overdrive.com, and many of the titles can be access directly from our database. From the comfort of home, card holders can browse the collection, check out, and download eBooks, audiobooks and videos, anytime, anywhere. e-Books can be read on a PC or Mac® using the free reader software Adobe® Digital Editions. eBooks can also be transferred to popular e-reading devices like the Sony® Reader and the Barnes & Noble nook™. To check out eBooks, audiobooks, and videos, users need a valid library card, computer, and internet connection. Once downloaded, digital media can be enjoyed on a computer and transferred to popular devices such as MP3 players, iPods®, Smartphones, and more. At the end of the lending period, titles automatically expire and are returned to the collection; however users may return eBooks early.

The Oregon Digital Library Consortium partners with OverDrive, Inc. (www.overdrive.com), a global leader in digital media services, to offer the Library2Go service. The Oregon Digital Library Consortium (ODLC) was formed in 2005, with the purpose of delivering electronic resources, such as downloadable audiobooks, video and eBooks, to participating libraries statewide. This program is supported in whole or part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oregon State Library.

WI-FI IS AVAILABLE AT THE CARNEGIE LIBRARY

Wi-Fi is available at the Carnegie Library, both upstairs and downstairs, during our open hours.  At this point, we do not have printers accessible to the Wi-Fi network. Sources of electricity are also available around the building.
