Memorial Day Celebration 2010

On Monday, May 31, 2010, Mayor Alice Norris welcomed over 400 attendees to the Memorial Day Celebration at Mt. View Cemetery. Special guest speakers included Oregon Speaker of the House Dave Hunt, WWII Veteran Edward Doell, Oregon City Police Chaplain Chuck Boman and Parents of Murdered Children Chapter Leader Mary Elledge.

Join us Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. for Mountain View’s annual Memorial Day Celebration! This year’s ceremony will feature key note speaker Dave Hunt, Oregon Speaker of the House; jet flyover by Oregon Air National Guard; presentation of colors; taps; placing of flowers; music from Gardiner Middle School Band; historic cemetery tours; activities for children and food and refreshments.

Cleanup Event

Looking for a volunteer project in your community? Mt. View Cemetery hosts 2 cleanup events each year, Annual Fall Cleanup and Annual Spring Cleanup. At each event our staff is joined by community groups, students and other enthusiastic volunteers to help clean up the cemetery. Lunch and refreshments are provided for all volunteers.

Mountain View Cemetery Burial and Placement Options

Mountain View Cemetery offers the options of full body and cremation burials. Full body placement options include conventional ground burial lots and above ground crypts in the Mausoleum. Cremation placement options include 2'x2' single and 2'x4' double cremation ground burial lots, scattering canyon, Cascade Memorial Garden cremation lots and above ground niches in the Mausoleum.
